About this Unit:
This unit of work illustrates how assessment tasks can be integrated in a teaching unit focused on rules, laws and the settling of disputes for students at Levels B2 and B3. The language covered in the unit includes the language of explanation, and the use of present tense, passive voice, modal verbs. The main assessment activities are the writing of an explanatory text, and of a formal email or letter. The unit starts with a table presenting an overview of the content of the unit. This is followed by a detailed description of teaching, learning and assessment activities that show how language and topic content can be integrated to form a coherent unit of work. |
