Hi everyone

A couple of teachers have experienced some glitches when signing up, so I thought I’d share some tips here.

Check your Junk mail folder for your automated emails.

• The first email you receive was written by me but will look as if Global2 is the sender.  It just explains the process to you. It is automated and is sent immediately. Once you receive your first email, expect a delay (of a couple of hours at the most- I’m usually quick though) as your details are added manually.

Once I have added you as a member:

If you are not already a user of Global2, you will receive an automated email from Global2.	This email will contain your user name. (Please check this as sometimes preferred options are already taken.) Please click on the link in this email to activate your account.
If you are already a member of a Global2 blog, you will receive an email inviting you to confirm the invitation to become a TEAL site member.	Please click to confirm. Note: Your username remains the same. Some teachers are selecting new user names when signing up. The system rejects these.
If you are a bit too late reaching your email to activate your link in time, you can	try to log in anyway (This has been known to work for existing Global2 users) or send me an email asking me to add you a second time or sign up again if you wish.

 

About logging in, once you’re a registered forum user:  If you’re not sure of what your user name is, log in with your email address. Forgotten your password? Reset it here:  http://teal.global2.vic.edu.au/wp-login.php  (Click on ‘lost your password?’ ) You’ll receive an automated response, so check your junk mail in case it ends up there.

Please also let me know if you haven’t received your automated emails (once you’ve checked junk mail) and can’t log in.  I’ll confirm your membership details with you.

As you can see from the number of edits below (!), we’re learning more and more about how to streamline this process and make things easier for you. Please feel free to let me know if things worked for you/ didn’t work for you/ if you’d like some help logging in.
