I think the biggest thing to do is to have visuals in view for the students. If there are a few steps for them to complete, then pictures of the steps work better and having them on constant display makes it easier for the students to access. It might take some time to set up, but it will help. Also it is important to show them step by step – modelling is the key. Our Art teacher always has a bigger example on display, and talks the students through each step to show them what she is expecting… I hope this helps 🙂
